The Earth Rhythm Coconut Oil Shampoo Bar

I have been using The Earth Rhythm Coconut Oil Shampoo Bar for over a month now & here are my quick thoughts on it. ⠀

*For reference I have fine, relatively straight, non porous, low frizz hair. Never been coloured or chemically treated. 

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙙 :⠀

• Zero Waste. There's no plastic packaging at all. This is the biggest pro according to me.

• Mild unobtrusive fragrance. 

• It lathers well. ⠀

• Cleans hair & scalp effectively. No residue is left behind and does not cause product buildup. ⠀
• Managed to remove hair oil (proper hair oiling application) thoroughly every time. I had not expected it to, but I was pleasantly surprised. ⠀

• Convenient size to use. ⠀

• The bar is well cured. It does not melt/go mushy if stored properly. ⠀

• It is sulphate & paraben-free. (Please know that personally, I am not very particular about this). ⠀

⠀𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 :⠀

• I find that it makes my hair more frizzy.⠀It is slightly less if I oil my hair before but it's still there (& my hair is not very frizzy naturally). ⠀

• My hair also looks a bit coarser in texture. It feels decently soft to touch but it doesn't look as smooth or soft. The overall look wasn't the same I get with my regular shampoos. But I wasn't really expecting it to be the same & I don't hold this against the product. ⠀

• I feel that it causes slightly more hair breakage for me. Since it doesn't leave my hair as smooth as it normally is, it is more prone to breaking/tangling when I brush my hair, tie & re-tie or while sleeping.

Please remember that this is my personal experience. Unfortunately, it did not work out as well for me as I had hoped. It might work well for you. I do like the concept of a zero-waste shampoo bar & this is not a bad product - it did perform better than what I had expected it to.
