Garlic Bread : Recipe

Written by: Swati on:

You remember the Tomato Soup recipe we shared a while back? If you missed it, you can find it HERE. Let us make some Garlic Bread now! It is super yummy and accompanies the soup so well. Of course, we also make it on its own... and it gets over in 10 minutes everytime I have made this! It is such a good thing that it takes just a few minutes to make this. Lets get started, shall we?

Yes, I am cheating here a bit. I do not bake the bread loaf, just get the ready made one. :P One day I shall learn to bake bread! Until then, this will have to do.

Things you need:

  • Bread Loaf
  • Butter (salted)
  • Garlic cloves
  • Basil
  • Oven
Cut equal medium width slices from the bread loaf (I did try making it with normal bread slices and the results are okay-ish, but a loaf like this works best!)

Take enough butter in a bowl. Beat it with a spoon to make it a bit light and soft. Now grate the garlic cloves and mix it with the butter (for 4 slices like the one pictured below, I use 4-5 large cloves of garlic..I love a good garlic-y flavour). Chop basil leaves and mix it with the garlic butter mixture. (you can use whichever herb you love best...parsley, rosemary etc).

Now, spread this garlicy butter generously all over the bread slices. GENEROUSLY! (see the pic above? like that). Now you know why this is super yummy? :D
Of course, somedays I feel very guilty and put less butter... ;) But nothing beats a well buttered toast!

Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 250°. (do this while you are preparing the slices).
Bake the slices at 200° for about 8 minutes or until the bread starts turning golden and the edges toasted brown. Serve warm!!

Could this be any more simpler to make? We assure you that your family will gobble it up before it even has the chance to cool down! :D :P

xoxo!
