Maybelline Color Show Moon Beam Review

I had bought two other shades from the Maybelline Color Show range - 103 Moon Beam and 005 Wine & Dine. Today I am swatching Moon Beam and Wine & Dine will be coming up next. Meanwhile, you can check out Tenacious Teal here, another gorgeous shade that I think is perfect for winters!

The formula on this one is slightly faulty. It went on quite streaky with very noticeable brush stroke marks, leaving me quite disappointed. The second coat smoothened things out to quite an extent, but still I wouldn't call it flawless application. Mind you, I did not use any base coat with this and my nails naturally have ridges. You may want to apply a base coat to help with the application.

As for the shade, it really is like moonlight captured in a bottle. I find it very dainty! The light silvery white shade comes in a pearl finish and it looks absolutely beautiful in the sun, flashing white and grey. Moon Beam isn't like the other white pearls out in the market, the light silver and grey undertone is relatively unique. It will also make a good accent nail colour.

The drying time was quite short, and it wore for 4 days quite well. On the 5th day I observed some fraying at the tips. Considering the price of these babies, I think I got a good deal out of them! I will surely buy this colour again, but next time I'm going to use it with a good base coat and top coat.

Have you tried any Color Shows yet? Which ones are you lusting after? :)

Price: 75INR for 6ml
