Maybelline Hyperglossy Liner, Navy Blue : Review, Swatch, EOTD

When it comes to eyeliners I have mostly stuck to the traditional black and sometimes brown. I wanted to add some colors too, but without going a full pop of color. The Maybelline Hyperglossy Liner in Navy Blue, was hence a safe bet.
The liner comes in a sleek black packaging. The bottle is tiny with a long handle. The brush is quite thin which gives you a precise application and a neat thin line easily. Kitten flicks and wings can be drawn easily with this one too.
The consistency is not too thick, not too thin. It is quite right to let you apply the liner with ease. It is very pigmented and needs only one swipe to give an opaque glossy finish. It dries relatively quickly too.
The only downside is that it flakes! You cannot risk rubbing your eyes...at all, or it will flake and come right off! I do not know if I got a bad bottle or not...do any of you face the same issue?
It is not water proof, but I can say it is water resistant to a certain extent. Also, the quantity is quite less, so if you apply it everyday, it will get over very soon.
Navy Blue, true to its name is a dark navy color with very tiny blue shimmer. It is a nice change from the regular black yet really wearable too.
From far people might not be able to notice a difference and it can look like a plain old black, but when the sun hits it, and at certain angles, it looks a pretty rich blue :)
Price: Rs 225 for 3g
I am currently enjoying wearing this shade a lot even though it has some major downs and if you are looking out for a change from your black liner then you might want to check this shade out :)
