Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser : Review

Written by: Swati on:

I have been testing and trying out quite a lot of new products over the past one month and it is time to put up the reviews soon. Some worked great, and some not that great.
One of the things I was trying out was the Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser. So without any further blah-blah...let me just jump straight into the review!

I have an oily combination skin. So depending on the weather and certain other factors, somedays it gets quite oily and somedays it feels a bit dried out too...I wish my skin could just make up its mind!
Anyway, when you have problematic skin prone to acne and pimples you are always on the lookout of products that will give a deep thorough clean and I was quite excited to try this out naturally.

It comes in a light squeezy tube with a flip cap. I liked the fact that the nozzle is sealed. Good packaging overall! Easy to carry around, leak proof and travel friendly.

The cleanser is a creamy pearl white one, with a mild fragrance. It foams up/lathers very well. You will need only a tiny bit for your face! Trust me..teeny bit only.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser review

Coming to the actual experience, as said before, my skin is oily combination and this cleanser lives up to its claims of removing all oil, dirt, makeup effectively off the face. It removes everything and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean leaving no residue behind. It is oil-free and non-comedogenic.
Unfortunately though, it strips my skin of all oil... every last tiny drop I feel and I am left behind with a very stretchy feeling (talk about "thorough removing")! I actually get the urge to apply a good cream after using this (which is a miracle since I do not like using creams which are even a little bit heavy on my face). I did try and use this for quite a few weeks but it never worked for me. I was always left behind with a dry, stretched feeling. Maybe it is more suited for the super oily skinned people or maybe I am one in the few for whom this just didn't work properly.

Price: 95 INR for 50g

Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser does what it says...thouroughly removes everything. However this might not be the best choice for normal and oily combo skin types since it will leave the skin feeling dry. And dry skins should stay far away from this one.
It will be best suited for the very oily skin types since it effectively removes all dirt and oil and in my opinion it will work better on them.
