Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, Black and Brown : Review
Written by: Swati on:
So after trying out Colossal kajal and the L'Oreal Kajal Magique, I finally gave in and tested the Lakme Eyeconic! Yeah, I know, I must be last person to try these but better late than never :D :P
I love twist up kajals, you do not need a sharpner and they are usually quite sleek with their packaging making them so easy to carry around and travel with.
I got Eyeconic in Black and Brown (the 2 most used colors with me). These pencils come in the sleek twist up form, all black with teal letters. I like the packaging but if you have lots of colors in these, it will be a bit tough to get hold of the color you want in one go. I wish the different colors were colored differently.
These pencils have a creamy and smooth texture. They glide easily on the waterline and eyelid, without any tugging. The pigmentation is good. These are waterproof and smudge poof.
It sets fairly quickly and does not budge from my eyes for 6 hours with some smudging and fading towards the end of the day. I haven't faced any irritation with these till now.
The Black Eyeconic is not the darkest/blackest black I have come across. The Lakme Absolute pencil is waaay richer and darker than this, so is the Amway Kajal. But it is good nevertheless.
The Brown Eyeconic is a lovely matte chocolate brown color. I am so glad that now we have an affordable brown pencil in the market. A brown pencil is a great shade to have in your kit, for days when you want to go a bit subtle, would be great for the work place. It gives definition to the eyes without being too obvious. Though this shade would not show up well on duskier skin tones.
Both the shades need 2-3 swipes for opaque pigmentation.
Price : 250 INR for 0.35g available here
The Eyeconic pencils are a good budget buy. They are smudge proof and water proof and last decently long. The black is not the blackest black, but serves everyday purpose well. The brown is a great shade to have for subtle days. For the price, the colored ones are a great addition to the market! Do check them out.
Which is your pick among Eyeconic, Colossal and Kajal Magique? Let us know!!
