Cargo Blush,Tonga : Review

I love blog sales! Which beauty lover does not? You get to try new brands and products without investing toooo much money.
I had never heard of Cargo Cosmetics before, and Divya from The Conscience Fund was the sweetest ever and threw this in along with our other purchases from her blog sale.

The fact that I have reached for this blush almost ever since I have got it, is proof enough of how much I am loving it already!

I love the vintage-y tin packaging. Although, the packaging is a bit bulky, it is light enough to be travelled with.

The brands claim of "Second to None" is spot on! The formula is lovely. Not too stiff, not too powdery (feels the soft creamy kind...you know what I mean?)
It gets picked up on the brush easily (I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush), although it has a bit of a dust cloud that is usual with soft powders. The powder blends smoothly and effortlessly to a matte finish and lasts almost 6-7 hours.

Cargo Blush Tonga review

Tonga has been described as a "pink terracota". On Indian skin tones, it looks more like a neutral cool toned pink color.
It will not suit dark skin tones. But on light - medium skin tones it would translate to a nude pink, barely there color, which will go with just about anything, making it perfect for everyday wear (which is why I reach out for it almost everytime).

Price : $29 for 8.9g

It is not a must have considering the price and availablility in India. Such a shame! But if you know anyone who is travelling out of the country and if you are willing to splurge a bit, you could ask them to pick up a blush from Cargo (they have 15 shades!)

P.S. If you are on a budget and want a neutral blush for everyday wear, give Creamy Cinnamon from Maybelline a try! It is an earthy brown which goes on as a lovely neurtal color on Indian skintones.
