First of all, Thank You for loving our Summer series! It makes us so happy knowing that you all appreciated the previous posts and we will be working on more summer related posts for sure!

And since we all love makeup, why not have a guide to summer makeup? Let's start shall we?

1. Base

Keep it light! Hydrated but light, Stick to an oil free/mattifying moisturizer. (I am loving the good old Lacto Calamine, which also helps calm my skin down). Follow it up with a generous coat of sunscreen (Our favourites include this Lotus one and the Aroma Magic one). And keep your base light. A BB/CC cream would be ideal, but if you have to wear foundation, use a light liquid or better a powder one. (The NYX HD foundation is a good one. L'Oreal Nude Magique, Ponds BB cream, Lakme CC cream would also work well).

2. Eyes

Again, keep it minimal, with just a wash of single shadow over the lid. A matte brown or a neutral beige-y color looks great. (These sheer shadows by Burberry are being super loved currently. You can also try out a palette like the Maybelline The Nudes, or the Makeup Revolution ones).
Of course, a long-lasting black kajal is a must, to prevent any fading. (We particularly like the Lakme Eyeconic and the L'Oreal Kajal Magique Bold). Use the matte brown shadow under your lower lashline to prevent the kajal from smudging.
A generous coat of waterproof mascara and you are all set!

Summer is the time to play with fun colors, and colored eyepencils & liners look so great! Try a bright turquoise one. Jewel toned pencils also work great with Indian skin tones. Now is the time to bring out those greens, purples and blues

3. Face

Stick to a neutral blush (like the Maybelline Creamy Cinnamon), which will work with almost everything.
A matte bronzer/contour powder is great to carve out those cheekbones and jaws. (We love the Freedom Bronzed Professional & theBalm Bahama Mama)
Don't forget to set everything in with a light dusting of powder. Look for a finely milled powder, to avoid the cake-y look! (The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural is a favourite)

4. Lips

Summer is a great time to pull out all your bright vibrant lippies! While I do prefer wearing a tinted lip balm most of the times (like the Nivea and Maybelline ones), a bright pop of lipstick is always lovely. Keep a bright pink and orange handy! And stock up on some corals too! (MAC See Sheer, Colorbar Nude Coral, Maybelline REB02, Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams and Nykaa Paintstix to recommend a few)
P.S. Don't forget the nudes(Nykaa So Matte lipsticks, Makeup Revolution Lip Hugs)

Pull out those lipglosses as well. I tend to keep a muted everyday pink (NYX Buttergloss in Angel Food Cake), a coral (L'Oreal Coral Encore) and a peachy pink (L'Oreal Fight For It).
You can add in a bright orange, like Revlon Papaya. I also love using the L'Oreal Shine Caresse in Bella and Lolita since they almost feel like water when applied!
