Real Techniques Powder Brush : Review

Written by: Swati on:

Even if you have the best of makeup, it is very important to have the right tools to apply them. Don't you all agree?
And while there are lovely brushes available (I have many on my wishlist) most of them are often quite expensive, unfortunately. And someday (when I am quite a makeup pro, I might get them). But for now, all I need are good quality brushes that are priced well....that way I can build my collection you see :)

When it comes to buying makeup brushes, Real Techniques is mostly what I reach out for without hesitation.

We have already reviewed their Stippling Brush, Expert Face Brush and Miracle Complexion Sponge in depth previously. Obviously, if you read the previous posts, you will know by now that we at CnD really love these brushes!
Adding to my collection, I got their Powder Brush a few months back and obviously I like it a lot!
You can buy Real Techniques brushes online HERE.

The largest brush out of the entire original collection, this one comes with the orange color coded handle. The brush itself is light and very easy to handle despite the size.

The bristles are dome shaped, super soft, dense and fluffy. and it feels amazing on the skin :D
It picks up a good amount of product in one go (no need to swirl around the pan 4-5 times) and distributes it evenly in a light layer.
You can use it with loose powder, compacts, bronzers (the packaging even said powder and mineral foundations).

I have used baby shampoo, a brush egg and a spot brush cleaner to clean this and it has never shed or lost it shape.
The size of the brush makes it a cumbersome to travel with though, but for day-to-day use it works perfectly. I have included a picture below for size comparison with the Blush brush.

Would I recommend it?

Of course! If you want to add a nice powder brush in your collection without spending a lot, you need not look any further. It does the job perfectly! Available HERE

P.S. I am super tempted to get the Bold Metals collection powder brush. What do you think? Is it worth it? Let me know if any of you have used it.

Swati
