I was not an eye cream person at all. I had a few bad experiences with some I tried on a whim and then I last year I turned 25 and I thought well, it might not hurt to try out a mild one...so I started using an aloe gel based one. It worked out well for me, gave that extra hydration and kept things in a good condition.
Then came all those late nights (all thanks to PG life....). Dark circles & puffiness started to make their way in my life. I have been using The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream since last month and it has been a saviour!
The skin around your eyes is one of the most delicate and vulnerable area It is thinner and shows signs of aging more quickly than other areas of your face do. Moreover, unlike skin on the rest of your face, the eye area does not contain oil glands that can help keep it moist. Enter eye creams.

The cream comes in a super sleek soft tube. It is super handy to carry around and it looks cute too :)
The first thing which will catch your eye is the unique Metal applicator. I mean, look how fancy!!
The product itself is very light lotion like and gets absorbed quickly. Even so, it hydrates extremely well (I do not have very dry under eye area). It is fragrance and paraben free. And since it spreads well, only a tiny amount is required.
It was only in the photos that I noticed the very tiny shimmer particles in the cream...look carefully..can you see it too? I do not fully understand the need of this in a skincare product, but maybe this helps with the brightening effet.
I have been using this for over a month now, and it has definitely brightened my eye area and has made it smoother. I had a sty a few years back and it left a dark area on my upper eyelid which has lightened considerably with this cream!
I cannot comment the effects of this on severe dark circles, but this cream did work well on the mild darkness I had.
Price : 2295 INR for 15 ml
Overall, I am really enjoying using this one. The metal applicator makes the whole process very soothing and refreshing . It might not work on stubborn dark circles but it has certainly helped brighten my eye area.
My only concern is that at 2295/- this one is certainly not too friendly for your wallet. I wish the quantity was in proportion to the price tag.
If you are willing to invest the amount and if you are on the lookout for a light hydrating eye cream, then the Shiso eye cream is a good buy.
