Ladies and Gentlemen, we welcome you all to the Rumble of the Jungle (the hairy kinds).

In the Blue Corner weighing in at a muscular, ripped 42 gms, is the LetsShave.com’s Pace 6 plus at a price tag of Rs. 549 (exclusive of COD charges) which arrived in style with a pack of 4 Pace 6 Cartridges.

In the Red Corner, weighing in at a sleek, 36 gms, is the Blacksaber (How cool is THAT name, right!) which came with 1 blade and is priced at Rs. 299.

Now how do they stack up against each other, that’s the big question that Gentlemen such as me, who are a bit tired of the whole Gillette juggernaut, and are on the lookout for more economical and hopefully a better shave quality, and we at Curios n Dreams embarked on a journey to answer just that question.

Beards, although all the raging trend that they are now, are in my opinion not epitomizing anything, Real masculinity lies in the ability to run a piece of sharp steel every morning up and down your face and neck. Yep, there, I said it.

I digress, so returning to the point, the Pace 6 plus is one fo the 7-8 offerings from Letshave.com and when I had ordered the blade around 8 months back, what really stands out is the fact that it really provides a sturdy comfortable grip which eventually does translate into a great shave as well.
Equipped with 6 sharp blades, an aloe vera strip on the top and a rubberized strip at the bottom, this one is an all-weather blade, great for a heavy 2 week stubble or for your daily grooming schedule. I give it a 8.5 on 10.

The Blacksaber from Blade & Bath grabbed my attention with the name, I mean imagine, waking up to a Blacksaber shave every morning, equipped with 5 blades and strips on top and the bottom, this one works great for a daily grooming regime but starts showing chinks in its armor when put to the test with a thicker stubble, so definitely not advisable when going in to shave off a full beard. I give this a 6.5 on 10.

So there you have the rundown, fret not, there’s a blade for everyone out there.
