Hi you guys! I hope you are doing well. I am talking about the Pixi FortifEYE Firming Eye Patches today - which, let me just tell you right up front, I got as an indulgent treat. These Pixi eye patches were on my wishlist for a very long time before I finally gave in one evening & bought them. These are extra & by no means a must buy.
Okay with that being said, I do enjoy using these patches. Now that you know this, read on if you are interested in them :)

A box comes with a small spatula which is very handy to separate and lift up the individual patches. I store mine inside the cap itself so that I don't lose it. There's hardly any fragrance and these stick onto the skin quite well without slipping & sliding around. You can go about doing your work as usual. I would recommend taking a 10-minute break though - put these on, sip a cold/hot beverage...just some self-care time for yourself :)
You need to be careful while handling the patches - long/sharp nails, I am looking at you... coz these patches are delicate and can tear easily. I have made small nicks a couple of times, but it doesn't affect the application.
These hydrocolloid patches are saturated well in the serum gel. They feel just wet enough, not overly drippy when you apply them under the eye and are cooling. Store them in the refrigerator and they feel 10x cool which feels incredibly relaxing & good.
I like to use them in the evenings, after a long day - on clean skin, keep it on for 15-20 minutes and pat the remaining serum in. You do not need to wash off. They are refreshing to use under tired & strained eyes.
The immediate effect you see is hydration which helps reduce the fine lines albeit temporarily & a slight decrease in puffiness if you have any (which I would attribute to the cooling property).
It doesn't help with dark circles as such, and it doesn't claim to either. Also, to be fair dark circles can be due to many different causes and are extremely difficult to treat with topical skincare products.
Pixi does have another variant called DetoxifEYE which is aimed specifically for depuffing & a new variant BeautifEYE for brightening. When I picked up this tub, only the 2 original variants were out else I would have gone for the brightening one.
I haven't used them long or consistently enough to see long term effects but these contain Retinol & sh-Polypeptides that mimic growth factors & are said to have wound healing and collagen production stimulating effects.

Okay, I am going to be brutally honest here - These are not a must-have/use product. Using eye patches is definitely extra. And I would always recommend you to invest this money in a face serum or an eye serum instead. Okay? That being said, do these patches work? Yes. Although I would give credit for this mainly to hydration. Long term effects might be there because I like Pixi as a brand and they have some wonderful products but since I use them as an occasional treat yourself product I cannot comment on that. They can be used every day though.
Should you get it? If you already have an effective skincare routine and feel like treating yourself then sure, or if you want to gift a beauty enthusiast something then these could be an option.
I bought this tub as an indulgent treat and while it feels fantastic using these patches & I do like them, I would not be repurchasing them for now.
