LA Girl Fanatic Blush Palette - Blushed Babe
Written by: Swati on:
I love blushes. Surprisingly though, I do not buy a lot of them.
I have a few good ones in my stash & I am quite happy with them.
However, the one thing missing from my "blush collection" was a blush palette. I really wanted to add one in there (Hey, they'd come in super handy while travelling! I would just need to carry one palette!).
There have been a few palettes in the past which have tempted me a lot (the Estee Lauder Violette collection....I am looking at you!), but their price tags always stopped me.
And then, the LA Girl Fanatic Palettes on Nykaa! I was won over immediately. Nothing could stop me now :D *air fist pump* YESSS!
The packaging feels nice & sturdy. It is sleek which is great.
It has a good sized mirror which I really like - you can do your makeup if you are on the go.
The Fanatic Palette range has - 4 face palettes (2 blushes - Blushed Babe & Island Hottie ; 2 highlighting - Moonlight Magic & Sunlight Sensation) & 4 eyeshadow palettes - all priced the same.
Blushed Babe palette has a combination of :
Formula - The pigmentation is good - neither tpoo strong nor too light - just enough to give you a good wash of color. They are soft, silkly & blendable and very easy to work with.
There is a little bit of a kick up with the powders, but not too much.
I absolutely love all the colors in this palette.
The mauvy pink (matte) is very soft and perfect for everyday wear (college/office) & will work with all makeup looks. It's a color you can wear when you don't know which color to go for...you know what I mean?
The neutral pink (matte) again is a very wearable color. It comes off ever so slightly cool toned on my complexion - which I love because such pinks really perk up my face!
The coral color is just gorgeous! I am having a moment with such sheeny corals as blushes. I have also picked up theBalm Hot Mama recently, which is quite similar to this shade. - I think it is a very Nars Orgasm kinda color (from what I could see in the online swatches)
It looks absolutely heavenly. The shimmer is super fine and comes across as a healthy glowy sheen on your skin.
The brown (matte) works as a lovely bronzer on my medium skin tone. It just adds some warmth without looking muddy or orange or too dark. Very natural and wearable again.
The other blush palette - Island Hottie is has a lighter coral, a deeper coral, a mauvy nude and a muted pink - 3 shimmers and 1 matte.
I didn't pick it up since the color family looked kind of similar while the Blushed Babe has 4 different color tones.
What's also nice is that you can easily mix colors and create a new one! Like I absolutely love to layer the 2nd pink one with the coral one - it makes a pretty warm pink!
Price : 1350 INR for 16g
I am super impressed with Blushed Babe & really like it. The tones you get in the palette are great. Nude, Pink, Coral & Brown (bronzer) - 1 palette and you are sorted! This palette will also be great if you are just starting out with makeup - you get 4 shades!
The price is sort of affordable. It works out to be 330/- for each blush in there - for the quality of the blushes, the price is good. And it is super convenient to carry while travelling. LOVE!
