Lakme Enrich Classic Lipstick 152- Raspberry Crush : Review

Written by: Smriti on:

There is something about the classic Lakme packaging that takes me back to days of my childhood. Back when I could barely reach the counter to see which shades my Mom was swatching, too young to even care about the kaleidoscope world of makeup. She would always end up buying one brown variant or another. (I can't fault her really, Lakme Enrich Satins were filled with so many browns and maroons then!) Even so, every 6 lipsticks or so, one shade would break free from great brown gang, and that's how Raspberry Crush came to sit in my mother's vanity! :)

What the company claims...
Deep conditioning lip-color enriched with Vitamin E for softer and smoother lips. Contains strawberry, grape seed, and peach extracts to keep lips nourished and soft. Enriched with sunscreens, vitamins and goodness of olives, your lips will have a story to share.

The packaging is something you are all familiar with, so I'll jump straight to describing the shade. Ah! 152 Raspberry Crush is a shade so awesome, I'm delighted to have found it! It's a beautiful cool toned pink, not very loud, but beautifully perky. It instantly brightens up my complexion. Raspberry Crush is a shade that will suit Indian complexion well as it isn't too blue-based, just enough to set off the warmth of our skintone.

Coming to the texture, the lipstick bullet is a little hard, but somehow manages to apply smoothly with minimum tugging. Pigmentation is good and the formula is hydrating as well. It won't dry your lips out, or accentuate fine lines. The finish is creamy and makes my lips glisten with a healthy shine.

Staying power is pretty average, 2-3 hours if you're careful with your snacking. Being creamy, this lipstick also tends to transfer, so that has to be kept in mind :P Also, make sure to sniff the lipstick, sensitive noses might not like it very much.

Overall, I find Raspberry Crush to be a good budget lipstick in a fabulously luscious shade. It's perfect for the summer months, and also for brightening up your winters! Me likey, me recommends!

Price: 225 INR for 4.4ml

What are your tried and loved shades from the Lakme Enrich lipstick range? :)
