NYX Butter Lipstick, Fireball : Review, Swatch & LOTD

NYX has finally launched in India (exclusively on Nykaa for now). How cool is that?! I am sure there are quite a few things already on your wishlist :D
So, NYX India had sent me a goodie bag and I have been testing out quite a few of their products over the past few weeks. I have a load of NYX reviews coming up girls! I hope they all can help you decide and make up your mind as to what to get :)
Today, the Butter Lipstick in the shade Fireball.
"Treat your lips to a kiss of smooth, creamy color with our irresistible Butter Lipsticks in 12 new luscious shades. The formula’s delicate satin texture fused with highly saturated color delivers full-yet-lightweight coverage with a luxurious satin finish".
The bright bullet co-ordinated with the actual color is sure to catch your eye. I do find the packaging to be a bit flimsy.
Like the name suggests, these lipsticks have quite a buttery smooth formula, They glide on without any tugging and keep the lips moisturized. This makes them extremely comfortable to wear throughout the day.
There is no settling into fine lines. I do not like layering this one a lot, since it has a super creamy texture and may be prone to bleeding.
Fireball, a bright medium coral, has decent pigmentation. You can go sheer with it as well as build up the color with 2-3 swipes. It will however not hide severly pigmented lips. I get about 2-3 hours of wear after which I need a touch up (I do not mind though since these are quite hydrating).
When I first swatched it, I thought it was quite similar to Bourjois Soliel 1 2 3. Here's a comaprison of both the shades. Fireball is brighter and more of a true coral while Soliel has orange undertones.
The color would suit light-medium skin tones well. Doesn't it look all summery and pretty? Applied sheer, it would be great for everyday use (at work and college as well).
Price : 550 INR for 4.5g
Overall, for the price, these are worth trying out, especially if you are looking out for hydrating and creamy lipsticks. The smooth texture and the moisturizing formula will surely leave you happy. There are a number of shades to choose from, I am sure you will be drawn to a few! I would love to pick up a pink from the range soon :)
