Lakmé 9 to 5 Lipstick Toffee Nexus : Review

As promised in my previous haul post, the swatch fest has now begun, and the first one to be showcased is Toffee Nexus by Lakmé!
What can I say about these 9 to 5 lipsticks? They are poles apart from what Lakmé used to dish out earlier! Extremely soft, they apply smoothly with minimal dragging. They feel so light!! I find the texture reminds me of very finely milled powder in the form of a lipstick. I'm doing an absolutely useless job of describing it, so let's just say it's great :)



The 9 to 5 lipsticks aren't those types which set to a matte finish and give a stretchy feeling to your lips, they are true mattes right from the beginning. As for the pigmentation, I was pleasantly surprised! It's amazing, very saturated in a single swipe and can be further built with two. Like most of the matte lippies, they do need a well exfoliated and moisturized lip to make these look their best. A little bit of lip balm beneath will ensure that they do not settle in the lines (we forgot to apply balm for the swatches...*tch*)


Now if you're looking for a nice peachy nude to add to your lippie collection, Toffee Nexus is something you can't go wrong with, especially for fair to medium wheatish skin tones. It will suit Indian skin tones well and is so ideal for office and college wear. Beautiful subtle yet classy shade! If you look at it very closely you'll find warm dusty tones to it. Mummy, sis, and I had a nice 15 minute debate on whether it has pink in it or not! Well, we think we'll just let you decide!


Stay time is 4-7 hours depending on how much you snack, and if you throw in the classy rose gold metallic packaging and it's astonishingly light feel, this one's a keeper for sure. I highly recommend it!! Just look at it, isn't it fabulous? :)
