Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Abstract Orange : Review

You know we quite love the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. They have been there since years! And there is something really nice about them. They have so many wonderful shades and they never disappoint you.
Smriti has written everything you need to know about these amazing lipsticks here and so I will not waste your time saying those things all over again.
Instead I will quickly share (as promised) another shade we slowly grew to love. Abstract Orange!

Packaging is the classic and simple gold and black with a transparent top on the cover and a coloured tab below with the shade name and number.
Like all the other Super Lustrous lipsticks, this one too is amazingly creamy. It is a bit sheer compared to the others but the colour payoff is still good.

Now this isn't the colour we would have picked normally, but we were surprised at how well it wears! This is an extremely unique pretty burnt orange, perfect for autumn-winter. The pearlescent finish adds a nice dimension to the colour. There are really minute shimmers in it but do not worry, they aren't the in your face kinds and do not show up obviously.

The other lipsticks from this range do have a distinct oily/plasticky smell. Abstract Orange, though, does not have any smell whatsoever (maybe because it was purchased in the UK). I really can’t say if the smell accompanies only the Creme finish ones, or if the ones manufactured in India. The staying power is 3-4 hours (yes they are not transfer proof and will not survive a full heavy meal).

Price: 550/- for 4.2gm

Overall, I think it is a really nice shade, particularly if you want a different orange. It would also work out nicely for those who are hesitant to wear a full on orange pout and it would especially be a nice change for mature women ...give your regular browns and maroons a rest :)

Check out Super Lustrous Chocolate Velvet (which is an absolutely lovely non boring brown) reviewed here.
